Talent Trees in WoW Forever
Updated 2026-09-16
On this page
Forever keeps the recognizable Classic talent-tree structure while revisiting individual choices. Use a tree to express how you want to play; do not assume an old saved Classic build represents the same abilities in Forever.
Familiar structure, new choices
The trees keep the same number of rows and their one-point milestones at 11, 21, and 31 points. A new 16-point milestone adds another decision along the way. Talents may be unchanged, revised, or moved into the class’s baseline toolkit.
Some buffs become baseline
Blizzard specifically names Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings, and Improved Mark of the Wild as buffs becoming baseline. That changes what a group can expect without requiring a particular talent investment.
Start with your role
Choose a class and role before comparing individual points. A healing setup, solo leveling approach, and tanking setup serve different jobs. Explain the intended activity when sharing a build with friends.
Browse the class reference for the nine identities and their talent-tree names.
Use a calculator
Open the WoW Forever Talent Calculator to allocate points across all nine classes, inspect Classic comparisons, validate prerequisites, and share a build. The planner uses attributed preview transcriptions from Talents Forever. Missing ranks remain undocumented instead of being filled with guessed numbers.
Before following any shared build, check the level and the current talent descriptions. A share link is useful for discussing allocation, but it does not by itself establish an optimal damage or healing result.
Paladin example
Paladins demonstrate the broader redesign: Holy Strike and baseline Consecration change the core toolkit, while each tree adds different strengths. Read the Paladin changes before treating a Classic allocation as interchangeable.
