Visual Settings & Controller Support

WoW Forever gives players choices in how Azeroth looks and how they control their character. Those presentation choices are separate from the class, faction, and ruleset decisions that shape your adventure.

Classic and modern presentation

Blizzard describes both modern and Classic visual presets. The game also offers HD and SD character-model options, with restored Classic animations for HD models. Choose the presentation you find most readable and comfortable rather than assuming one preset changes the underlying game rules.

Transmog is optional

Classic Mode begins with transmog disabled. You can also control transmog viewing through a transmogrifier. Disabling it changes the appearances you see, but does not stop appearance collection or prevent other players from seeing your configured look.

Read the full transmog guide for dungeon appearance sharing, item-type restrictions, and level rules.

Gamepad support

Official gamepad support is part of the announced feature set. This is an input option; it is not an announcement of a console edition or a certification for every handheld device.

When choosing controls, consider the activities you plan to do. Selecting allies, managing targets, and navigating the interface are all part of the experience, not only moving through the world.

Familiar art, new environmental details

The presentation includes environmental changes such as flowing rivers in Elwynn Forest, mist over Darkshore’s water, and moonlight through Ashenvale’s trees. The goal is to enrich the world while preserving its recognizable art style.

Explore the new regions or start with the main Forever changes.
