Camping Buffs & Stacking

Camping buffs can fill a gap in your group’s benefits. A camping version does not stack with its corresponding class buff, so selecting a useful effect matters more than filling a slot with a duplicate.
Announced stat benefits
| Object | Profession | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Sharpening Wheel | Blacksmithing | Attack Power |
| Faction Banner | Tailoring | Spirit |
| Incense Candle | Herbalism | Intellect |
These are the examples described in Blizzard’s Deep Dive. The non-stacking rule concerns corresponding class effects; it does not mean that every different camp benefit cancels every other benefit.
Plan around your party
Before someone places an object, review the buffs already available from your group. Prefer a missing benefit or a useful profession workspace over a duplicate effect. A small camp has three object slots, so a repair, service, or workspace can be more useful than another stat choice.
Compare active benefits in your character’s tooltips before adding a duplicate effect.
Duration and resting
Camp buffs last one hour after you sit and rest. The one-hour duration and the shared object cooldown are separate rules: one describes the benefit on your character, the other governs object placement.
Food and camping
Blizzard also describes updated crafted food with stat benefits and a small experience bonus. A campsite is a convenient place to refresh food before moving on. Food is a separate part of your preparation; do not treat every campsite effect as the same buff category.
