Forever Raids Open December 9: Plan for 10- and 20-Player Groups

Published · Updated 2026-09-18

Blizzard’s roadmap separates the November 4 game launch from the December 9 opening of new raids. Barrow Deeps is planned for a maximum-level group of 10, while Hyjal Summit uses 20 players. The same announcement lists nine new dungeons across Azeroth. These are announced content plans, not proof that every encounter or reward is currently available in Beta.

What this means for your plans

For a returning guild, decide which group size you can sustain before assigning mains around a 40-player Classic roster. Use the period before raids to explore dungeon roles and build alternatives. A planned raid size tells you how many people to organize; it does not establish required class counts, a final loot priority or a best-in-slot list.
